An opening is available for PhD students at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Binghamton University, New York. If you are graduating soon or graduated already, consider joining our research team working on exciting and challenging problems related to steganography, and digital forensics of digital media. The research is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and involves elements of machine learning (deep learning), image processing, and statistical signal detection and estimation.
Tuition will be covered and you will receive a stipend of at least $30,000/year.
Solid mathematical background and programming skills (Python, Matlab, LaTeX) are required, knowledge of deep learning and experience with Linux is a plus.
The expected length of study is 4 years.
