A propos Gersende Fort

Gersende Fort received the Engineering degree in Telecommunications from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris, France, in 1997, the master’s degree and the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris VI, France, in 1997 and 2001, respectively, and the Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches from Université Paris IX in 2010. She joined the CNRS in 2001, where she is currently a Senior Research Scientist with the LAAS Laboratory. She is also part time Professor at Ecole Polytechnique since 2014. In 2019, she received a research grant from the Fondation Simone and Cino Del Duca and the Institut de France. Her research interests include Stochastic Optimization (with an emphazis on Stochastic Approximation and Majoration-Minoration methods), Monte Carlo methods (with an emphazis on MCMC samplers), Bayesian inverse problems and Computational Machine Learning.
