SSFAM (Société Savante Française d'Apprentissage Machine) and AFRIF (Association Française pour la Reconnaissance et l'Interprétation des Formes) jointly organize CAp (Conférence sur l'Apprentissage automatique) and RFIAP (Reconnaissance des Formes, Image, Apprentissage et Perception) conferences on July 1st-3rd 2024 in IMT Nord Europe and the Université de Lille, Cité Scientifique Campus. The two communities have numerous common research problems and we believe that this co-location will allow for very fruitful discussions. Though the two conferences have separate submission procedures several joint sessions are planned.

CAp is an interdisciplinary gathering of researchers at the intersection of machine learning, applied mathematics, and related areas. All the accepted papers will be given the opportunity to be presented as posters at the conference. Some papers will also be presented in oral presentations, either during a CAp only session or during a CAp/RFIAP joint session (for papers that were more specifically identified as being at the intersection of the two conferences). These presentations are an opportunity to have constructive and rigorous feedback, as well as to establish contacts with members of the french machine learning community.
RFIAP is an interdisciplinary gathering of researchers at the intersection of pattern recognition, image, perception, and machine learning applied to these topics.
