Looking to start a collaborative research project between France and Israel in optics and microscopy? The OMNI-TOOL project call is for you!
Building on the success of the previous Imaginano initiative, this new International Research Network 'OMNI-TOOLS: Optical Microscopy and Novel light-matter Interactions for advanced Tools in Biological Investigations and Diagnostics' brings together French and Israeli partners (CNRS, Weizmann Institute, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv University and Bar-Ilan University), to foster collaborative fundamental or applicative works in optics and microscopy.
The OMNI-TOOLS IRN focuses on developing next-generation imaging tools for biology. It will adress current challenges both from the fundamental physics perspective (sources, sensors, light-matter interaction including quantum aspects), and from the instrumentation and imaging strategy perspective. By combining expertise in optics, nano-fabrication, instrumentation, and various biological fields, the IRN aims to create imaging systems with unprecedented capabilities for groundbreaking discoveries.
Important information:
- Project must involve at least one French and one Israeli partner
- Funding is up to 5k per project
- Application file is only 2 pages
- Projects should be submitted before May 15th on the following website: https://omnitools-call-2024.sciencescall.org/
More guidelines and eligibility conditions can be found in the website.
Best regards,
