The research project is in the framework of the PC3 PERSEUS research project of the 5G acceleration PEPR (national priority research program and equipment, whose co-leaders are CEA, CNRS and IMT).
It is part of a sub-project entitled "Radio resource orchestration for cell-free 5G/6G multi-antenna systems (CF-MIMO)", which aims to design and optimize new resource allocation algorithms suitable for distributed Massive MIMO systems. It concerns the global optimization of a scalable Cell-Free Massive MIMO system under the assumption of an open architecture of the radio access network (O-RAN) and heterogeneity of service requests in the perspective of future networks (5G/6G). Network architecture, radio resource orchestration and multi-antenna processing are jointly examined. The work will be done in direct collaboration with Karine Amis and Xavier Lagrange from IMT Atlantique.
