Inria is offering a junior researcher position (PhD student with funding) on the topic of waveform design for massive radio access, targeting next-generation terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.

We will tackle the problem of modulation design and analysis for massive, uncoordinated random access, with the ambition to provide energetically and spectrally optimal solutions for the sporadic communications needs of future networks. We are looking for outstanding candidates with strong mathematical skills that can tackle difficult problems in information theory, information geometry, signal processing and coding.

Required skills:

- fluent spoken and written technical english

- a strong background in digital communications, statistical signal processing and information theory

- familiarity with Matlab and/or Python
