The LASTIG Lab (Univ. Gustave Eiffel / IGN) is recruiting a PhD student for an exciting project at the intersection of computer vision/photogrammetry, metrology, and space geodesy.
Topic: Determination and Monitoring of Reference Points of Space Geodetic Instruments using Photogrammetry
Location: Cité Descartes, National School of Geographical Science (ENSG) Champs-sur-Marne (Paris region, France)
Duration: 36 months
Funding: IGN & EU project DI-Vision (23IND08)
Start Date: September 1st, 2025
Objective: Design an autonomous and non-invasive photogrammetric system to accurately track reference points of instruments such as SLR telescopes and VLBI antennas. More informations can be found here.
Candidate profile:
- Background in applied mathematics, computer vision, metrology
- Strong programming skills (C++ preferred)
- Passion for experimental research
- Proficiency in English
